(OTCBB: WCOL), a leader in technology business solutions for the global perishable products industries, announced actions to accelerate its 2001 Strategic Plan. The actions are intended to result in WCO achieving positive cash flows from operations in the 2nd Quarter of 2001.

In 2000, WCO increased its technology capability and recognized that its opportunity was to leverage its FreshPlex Technologies to provide business solutions for all companies operating in the perishable products industries.

Our WCO FreshPlex Technologies enable our customers to rapidly reduce operating costs and inefficiencies, improve supply chain collaboration, leverage their unique brand equity, enhance their existing customer relationships, expand their customer base and enhance rather than change their existing business processes, said Joe Dugan, President of World Commerce Online. We have expanded our product strategy to include licensing our FreshPlex Technologies in addition to our Managed Service offerings. In addition, we have unbundled our implementation and integration services from product sales to enhance our economic return. Dugan added, We are very pleased that since completion of the first release of our FreshPlex Technologies in October, we have executed more than $7 million in contracts and more than $6 million in non-binding letters of intent. In addition, we believe the evidence of our successful evolution is that we have more than 30 companies worldwide utilizing our products and services.

As part of this business evolution WCO intends to sell the global exchange businesses. The actions also include an overall workforce reduction primarily representing the elimination of resources dedicated to the global exchange businesses as well as non-technical positions in the U.S. and Europe.
